OBJECTIVE

The goal was to merge a Lockbox File Integration Tool with Salesforce to automate the transfer of lockbox files from the JP Morgan Chase portal.

CHALLENGES

Lack of Native Support: Salesforce does not natively support SFTP connections or PGP decryption, requiring the development of a cross-platform tool in .NET.
Security and Compliance: Ensuring secure file transfers and PGP decryption during transmission of sensitive financial data while importing lockbox files into Salesforce.
Error Handling: Efficient management of errors and exceptions during file transfers, especially when linking lockbox files to payment queue records.
TIFF File Preview: Salesforce does not support TIFF file previews, necessitating the development of custom components to render and combine images.

APPROACH

The project utilized a .NET-based middleware tool (SFTP Connector) developed by an external partner to bridge Salesforce with external systems. CloudQ managed the Salesforce integration, automating the retrieval and processing of lockbox files. The integration ensured secure file transfers, streamlined error handling, and enabled TIFF file previews within Salesforce.
