LinkedIn Announces Seven Updates For 2023

linkedIn announces seven updates for 2023

Hello, and welcome to another topic! Today, we’ll talk about some of the LinkedIn updates for 2023. I hope you find this post useful and learn a ton! Let’s get started.

LinkedIn is a social network that has gained prominence in marketing planning but still falls short on features. Recently, the social platform announced the arrival of seven new features, including improved video accessibility, updates to job search, post scheduling, and content analytics. These features will be rolled out before the end of the year.

Here’s what to expect on LinkedIn:

  • Improved Video Accessibility: LinkedIn will now automatically generate captions for videos uploaded to the platform, allowing users to add or edit them before publication. Users may also choose high-contrast mode on the LinkedIn app to make movies more accessible to persons with visual impairments or low vision. This capability will initially be limited to English-language material.
  • Standardized Accessibility Job Titles: Accessibility professionals can now select from a list of standardized job titles, such as “accessibility designer” or “accessibility engineer,” to help them be more easily discovered and find opportunities that match their skills. Standardized position listings in the area of accessibility are also available to improve searches highlighting professionals and job opportunities.
  • Alt Text for Paid Campaigns: Campaign Manager now allows advertisers to add alternative, or alt-text, text descriptions to images in their ads, improving accessibility for blind and low-vision users. This should also improve ad delivery, as alternative text can help the algorithm better understand what campaigns are about.
  • Updates on Job Search: LinkedIn is testing the implementation of job listings with similar and related characteristics to users’ existing employment. These customized lists are still under testing for a small number of North American businesses, but they should be available to more people shortly. According to LinkedIn, people are looking for job opportunities that correspond with their beliefs and interests, such as upskilling, professional progress, and work-life balance. In order to help non-professional job searchers, LinkedIn is exploring tailored job collections that users can find without completing a search. The firm intends to expand at a “rapid” pace.
  • Product Search Updates for B2B: LinkedIn recently launched Product Pages to help members explore products that meet their needs, connect with community experts, and make a purchase. The network contains about 90,000 B2B items and wants to add additional category filters to increase the relevancy of Product Pages in order to provide a more personalized experience. Professionals typically need to go through a time-consuming process to gather crucial information before making judgments on purchases. Product Pages are intended to assist professionals in making better, more informed purchasing decisions.
  • Scheduled Posts: LinkedIn now provides the capability to schedule and plan postings in advance, allowing users to have complete control over their content and edit as they go. Soon, it will be possible to schedule publications on LinkedIn, selecting a day and time for content to be published, and edit publications after scheduling, giving users more control.
  • Content Creators Analytics: LinkedIn is updating the creator analytics dashboard to include audience data and top-performing content, allowing content creators to view information about their audience and publications with the best performance. This data can be used to spot patterns and manage analytics in a way that suits them best, but creators must activate creator mode to access these updates.

Make the Most of These New Features

Using new opportunities in your preparation is just as essential as keeping up with the news. Evaluate which modifications can be implemented to enhance your brand and audience. One or more of these features might be an excellent way to boost your performance and make greater use of LinkedIn.
